Who we are

The real world is the next frontier, and at Metropolis, we are creating the artificial intelligence to make it responsive. We are pioneering the Recognition Economy — a future where mundane repetition disappears and being known unlocks access, comfort and belonging everywhere you go. From transforming parking into a seamless drive-in, drive-out experience for millions of Members to expanding our intelligence layer across retail and hospitality, we are building a world that feels instinctive and magical. The future isn’t coming; it’s here, and we need builders, innovators and problem solvers to help us create it.

Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a Deal Desk Analyst to join our Revenue Operations team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end integrity of our underwriting process. You will serve as the primary point of contact for underwriting deals, ensuring every deal is accurate, profitable, and aligned with our long-term growth strategy. This role is perfect for a highly analytical problem-solver who enjoys optimizing complex workflows, stress-testing financial models, and providing the actionable insights that drive executive decision-making.

What you'll do
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Sales reps to handle "desk-heavy" tasks, including updating proformas and resubmitting deals for approval
  • Manage the underwriting lifecycle using internal automation tools to accelerate approval times without sacrificing accuracy
  • Rigorously review sales proformas to ensure maximum profitability, operational efficiency, and data integrity
  • Collaborate directly with sales and operations leaders to inform best practices for underwriting and managing assets
  • Analyze and stress test potential macro and micro impacts to asset performance
  • Maintain meticulous records within Salesforce to ensure the team has access to "source of truth" business metrics
  • Contribute to improvements in deal desk processes, documentation, and playbooks
  • Use GTM insights to inform cross functional collaboration to inform strategic decision making throughout the organization
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation to support the company’s growth and competitiveness
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years of experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Support, or Sales Operations role
  • Strong skills in Google Workspace and Salesforce
  • Seasoned professional with a strong background in revenue operations and analytics
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to audit financial proformas, identify data inconsistencies, and implement necessary corrections
  • Detail-oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to identify areas of improvement and propose necessary changes
  • Service-oriented mindset, taking pride in the success of others and treating internal sales teams as key stakeholders
While not required, these are a plus:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
