About the Program

Start building your future in tech — alongside engineers who ship at scale!

DataPUPS Summit is a one-day, in-office experience at Datadog’s NYC HQ for rising sophomores (Class of 2029) interested in exploring technology roles early in their college careers.

This application-based summit is designed to help you strengthen technical skills, learn how engineering teams build and scale real systems, and build relationships with Datadog engineers!

Selected participants may be considered for early access to future internship opportunities and continued engagement with our Early Talent team.


What You’ll Do / What to Expect

During the summit, you will:

  • Participate in hands-on technical workshops led by Datadog engineers
  • Attend engineering talks and product deep dives focused on real production challenges
  • Hear from early-career and senior Datadog employees about career growth and team selection
  • Get a transparent overview of future internship recruiting (timeline, interviews, what strong candidates do differently)
  • Connect directly with engineers, product leaders, and early-career employees in small-group settings designed for real conversations.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Build projects for fun 
  • Participate in hackathons, coding competitions, or technical research
  • Love breaking down systems to understand how they work
  • Ask “why?” and “how would this scale?” constantly
  • Are curious about how AI and modern tooling are reshaping engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program studying Computer Science or a related technical field and graduating in 2029
  • Strong interest in technical problem-solving
  • Interested in exploring future opportunities in NYC or Boston
  • Able to attend in person in NYC on June 22–23, 2026
  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C/C++, JavaScript, etc.)

  • Applications Due: May 4, 2026
  • Summit: June 22–23, 2026 

Travel & Logistics

  • This is an in-person event at Datadog’s NYC HQ. Travel support details will be shared with selected participants.
  • Please note that June 22nd will not be a full-day commitment. The only event that day will be a social networking event taking place in the evening. 
    • Please plan to arrive in New York City beforehand — the first event will begin after 5:00 PM.
  • June 23rd time commitment will be 9:00 AM - 6:00PM.
