Summary: 

  • Client Agency is Defense Logistics Agency.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
  • Improves the efficiency of database tools and services.
  • Assists in designing, structuring, and maintaining Oracle databases.
  • Enhances the scalability and performance of current database structures.
  • Monitors database performance and upgrades technologies.
  • Updates systems as needed and creates data backups for disaster recovery.
  • Performs diagnostic tests and evaluates performance metrics.
  • Recruits, supervises, and oversees the database development teams.
  • Ensures disaster recovery plans are created, adhered to, and able to be executed in case of data failure
  • Develops test versions and conducts bug testing.
  • Safeguards data by implementing security and restoration controls.
  • Reports to senior management teams and invested stakeholders.
  • Stays current with technological advancements.
  • Must be able to prepare and deliver presentations on Database Management System (DBMS) concepts
  • Ensures the design and installation of database management system applications and establishes appropriate linkages to existing database applications and other data processing systems.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and performs file, record, and field-level maintenance using available database management tools.
  • Maintains data documentation, including data file structures, data schema, process flows, operating procedures, and management guidelines.

Requirements: 

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Must have 5+ years of database management experience, preferably in an Oracle EBS environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferences: 

  • One of the following certifications: IAT-II security certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, CISSA, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP
  • DFARS 252.239-7001 Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification.
  • One of the following certifications: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations 2020 Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator, Oracle Java SE 8 Programmer I, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Essentials (OEM 12c), Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) 12c R1: Fundamentals, Oracle Planning 202x Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), and Oracle Identity Governance 12c: Essentials.
