Database Developer

A Database Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems that support applications and business operations. They ensure data integrity, optimize database performance, and collaborate with software developers and IT teams to meet organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
    •    Design, develop, and maintain database structures, schemas, and stored procedures.
    •    Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
    •    Implement data security, backup, and recovery processes.
    •    Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with software solutions.
    •    Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
    •    Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability across systems.
    •    Document database systems, procedures, and changes for future reference.
    •    Stay updated on emerging database technologies and best practices.

Requirements:
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    •    Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
    •    Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, or other database programming languages.
    •    Knowledge of database design, normalization, and indexing.
    •    Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
    •    Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting tools is a plus.
