Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with strong communication skills and deep expertise in Postgres and AWS cloud database technologies (Aurora, RDS, Redshift, S3). The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based database solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and data security.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement cloud-based database architectures.

  • Manage and optimize Postgres / AWS Aurora environments for high availability and performance.

  • Perform query tuning, indexing, and database performance optimization.

  • Maintain backups, replication, and disaster recovery processes.

  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.

  • Develop automation scripts and support CI/CD database integration using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.

  • Monitor database activity and performance using tools like DataDog.

  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Development teams to meet data needs.

  • Mentor team members and stay current with emerging database technologies.

Required Skills
  • 5–7 years of experience in Database Administration with Postgres.

  • 3–5 years of experience with AWS database services (Aurora, RDS, Redshift, S3).

  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and IaaS platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation.

  • Experience using Data Observability tools (e.g., DataDog).

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
