We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database architect for a client . As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for assessment of current system and provide recommendation report on future state that includes design, development and, migration strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and design data models that meet the needs of our organization. If you have a strong background in data modeling, ETL processes, and database technologies, we would love to hear from you.

Job Description

  • Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive migration strategy with architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
  • Performed details assessment of current database system by determining structural requirements, and developing migration solutions.
  • Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data.
  • Ensures adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data.
  • Determines platform architecture, technology, and tools.
  • Confirms architecture capability and flexibility to support high availability web applications by developing analytical models and completing validation tests.
  • Improves architecture by tracking emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
  • Communicates technology needs and strategy to fellow members of executive team.
  • Create current database system architecture, target database architecture, migration roadmap, estimates timelines in a comprehensive analysis report.

Qualifications

  • Overall 8+ years of experience with minimum 2 years prior experience as a data architect or in a data management role
  • Extensive experience with data migration from MS Access database to SQL database using Microsoft SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistent)
  • Certified Data Architect
  • Experience with software network design and implementation
  • Understanding of data analysis, business principles, and operations
  • Software architecture and design
  • Network design and implementation
  • Problem-solving capability
  • Ability to clearly present technical information to fellow technical professionals as well as non-technical peers
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Adaptability and curiosity
  • Presentation and communication skills
