Provide advanced modeling, reporting and analytical support for the department. Responsibilities include developing and tracking of key statistical information and performance metrics, preparing various analytical models reporting views, organizing and presenting actionable data to senior management both interdepartmental intradepartmental and to present findings and action plan performing query functions for ad-hoc reporting requests communicating requirements to senior staff.

Job Description

  • Obtain insight from a pool of Information Technology data and provide key actionable statistical information and performance metrics
  • Develop ETL (Extract, transform, load) frame works to support analytic models
  • Perform quality data assessments to support analytics models 
  • Develop visual business intelligence models utilizing several business intelligence tools 
  • Collects analyses, and prepares reports for Information Technology services utilization. Data is used to ensure appropriate cost and charge practices to business divisions and to identify and understand trends in services utilization. 
  • Plan, organize, prepare, and present data to management
  • Instruct management on necessary follow up
  • Interpret ad-hoc data requests and conduct applicable queries to obtain desired results 
  • Provide analytical support to managers and executive
  • Create requirements for new reporting
  • Communicate actions requirements to senior management on data presented  
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • 8+ years of operational or consultant experience in a data management, data operations, or data governance role
  • Working knowledge of data governance best practices (DMBOK) and demonstrated experience applying them within fast paced, complex, and dynamic program and operations environments
  • Ability to self-manage, scope, prioritize & communicate operational work deliverables linked to EDM team strategic plan, and those of others when playing team lead roles within projects
  • Clear, succinct, “value add” driven communication style that helps partners quickly understand goals and the benefits of governance practices by linking them to business improvement
  • Experience translating business data needs into technical language and ensuring effective QA / UAT of data solution delivery
  • Good project management skills; Able to state and execute against priorities
  • Work effectively within an agile environment, using tools like JIRA & confluence to prioritize, document and deliver data related services
  • BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, Statistics, Computer Sciences, or Information Systems  
  • Has hands-on experience in SQL

 

Preferred

  • Prior exposure to Snowflake, Tableau, Python
  • Prior experience using data governance tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Talend, to scale governance solutions and automate governance services
  • Prior exposure to finance regulations such as SOX, and data regulations such as GLBA, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI, etc.
