Overview
The Senior Portfolio Analyst will support the Portfolio Manager's daily activities as well as produce periodic and ad hoc reports.
Job Description
Reporting:

  • Responsible for various recurring, and non-recurring, reports that require knowledge of MS Excel, SQL database and MS Access (optional).

Modification Analysis:

  • Responsible for researching modification decisions to support escalations and audits.

Portfolio Management:

  • Responsible for understanding modification programs and evaluating portfolio loans that may qualify for modification.

Modeling:

  • Responsible for the testing and maintenance of various models developed by the Portfolio Manager.

Analysis:

  • Analyze various modification success rates. This includes evaluating results of a decision engine and prescribing enhancements to rules used for qualifying and structuring loan modifications.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel. Experience with MS VB, SQL , or MS access programming is a plus.
  • Position requires close interaction with other functional areas. Therefore, the candidate must demonstrate his, or her, ability to work collaboratively with various functional groups.
  • Past reporting experience is a plus
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
