Senior Data Engineer
SENIOR DATA ENGINEER sought by FabFitFun, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA.
Duties: Develop a scalable and modem data warehouse and business-driven data products. Analyze user needs and partner with existing Bl/Data Science teams to develop critical data pipelines for making real-time decisions and business recommendations. Support and fulfill the strategic software objectives of a highly cross-functional organization. She will build, test and refine data pipelines for data analytics and business intelligence (Bl). Perform data modelling, process design and overall data pipeline architecture. Ensure data quality and consistency with monitoring and support. Play an active role in establishing data governance around company KPls, and work closely with the Product, Data Science & BI teams to design, build and test end-to-end solutions. Devise innovative software solutions and gather complex business requirements and identify data needs. Responsible for the design and development of relational databases and SQL development. Utilize Python, Spark and Shell scripting and develop large- scale DBS or big data systems such as Hadoop, BigQuery, A WS, Redshift, and Snownake, as well as work with ETL development tools such as Talend and Pentaho. Work with Bl reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau and Microstrategy lo analyze data lo identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field, plus five (5) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. Must have experience in Designing data pipelines and underlying data processing infrastructure such as a Data Lake and Data Warehouse; Utilizing various services of AWS stack (Including AWS S3, EC2, AWS RDS, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift) focusing on high-availability, fault tolerance, and auto-scaling; Designing, implementing and testing data model and storage structures in data lake and data warehouse; Analyzing source data and specifications for new data product requirements; and Monitoring and maintaining new and existing data systems and processes.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, plus three (3) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
