As a Senior Data Analyst on the Data & Analytics team with a focus on Operations Analytics, your primary responsibility will be to work with stakeholders across business functions including warehouse operations, distribution, inventory management to build analytics products that enable data-driven decision making. You will guide analytics projects from discovery to solution and help us raise the bar for how we should apply our data to business decisions.

What You'll Do

• Lead analysis projects with stakeholders in Operations, Warehouse and Customer Care
• Develop and own business intelligence dashboards for operational aspects of the business
• Analyze inventory life cycle data, including utilization, turns, lifetime value and profitability
• Work with merchandising teams to estimate future demand for new and existing products to inform purchasing decisions
• Collaborate with data engineering team to help define business metrics and to close data gaps in our data warehouse
• Collaborate with data scientists to help build advanced analytical models
• Find ways to use data to empower team members across the business to take action in real time

You have the following technical skill set:

• Professional experience using advanced SQL in a cloud data warehouse environment (such as Redshift, Snowflake or Hive), including window functions and CTEs
• Strong data visualization skills; experience with a tool like Tableau, Periscope, Mode or something similar
• Working knowledge of business statistics and probability (i.e. you know the difference between Binomial and Beyonce)
• Experience with Python or R is a plus, but not required
• At least 3-5 years of related experience managing data analysis projects in eCommerce, retail or business with warehouse operations
• Ability to simply and persuasively communicate insights to team members across the business
• Intellectual curiosity and strong personal initiative; you will have mounds of data at your fingertips and endless challenging problems to solve, so the ability to discern meaningful from “interesting” is a must for this role!
