Senior Business Analyst

Boingo is looking for a senior analyst to join our Business Systems and Analytics team. You’ll dig into all the numbers around our business to deliver core metrics, as well as play a key role in developing strategic insights to drive Boingo’s business forward. This job is ideal for an insatiably curious, data-loving expert who can tell stories with numbers. You’ll work on the bleeding edge of technology delivering industry-leading network and consumer insights. The business systems team reports into finance, and works closely with the finance and accounting team, business line leads, product management, data engineering, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report on business and network performance trends to help support and drive decision making
• Query and analyze large, complex data sets and translate learnings into actionable recommendations
• Develop data narratives and visualizations for executive presentations
• Support business lines in the annual budgeting and strategic planning process as well as monthly forecasting activities and business line reviews
• Triage ad hoc insights requests and identify the most repeatable, reusable, and impactful analyses for optimization and automation
• Identify gaps and opportunities to improve the availability, integrity, and reliability of the data

 Have what it takes?

• 2+ years working experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Design, develop, and administer reports and dashboards within various reporting portals (Looker, Tableau, etc)
• Extensive experience with Microsoft programs particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced cross functional environment
• Ability to build strong trusting relationships with coworkers, customers, and company management
• Able to meet changing deadlines and manage priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
• A willingness to learn
• Experience with Salesforce, Jira, and SQL a plus
• Familiarity with consumer cellular/Wi-Fi/cable/satellite industries preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline required (Information Systems, Business, Finance, Statistics or Math)
