WHY WE NEED YOU

As Virgin Hyperloop (VH) continues our journey to build the world’s first hyperloop and act as a disruptive force in the transportation industry, we are in need of an experienced Strategic sourcing Manager for our growing organization.

The Procurement Analyst's role is to identify, evaluate, approve, integrate and manage strategic and preferred suppliers for Virgin Hyperloop.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Efficient, timely, and accurate entry of order status and production results
  • Manage order changes with suppliers
  • Manage and Relay information on Open Order Reports
  • Invoice Resolution
  • Recommend revisions to procedures/work instructions to improve efficiency.
  • Provide education and training to internal staff on procurement policies and best practices (Engineering, New Hire On-boarding, Etc….)
  • Work with suppliers to prioritize production and shipment of our orders as needed to meet VH internal requirements
  • Investigate and suggest alternatives when late deliveries from suppliers are unavoidable
  • With support of management, resolve pricing/billing discrepancies with our suppliers
  • Review daily inventory receipts to actively identify issues or trends

WHAT YOU'VE DONE

  • Work well under pressure with exceptionally tight deadlines

  • Be able to communicate ideas in both a technical and user-friendly language
  • Address problems with a positive, creative, collaborative approach, always keeping the customer experience in mind
  • Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience in presenting complex ideas to executive level audiences
  • Have strong relationship building skills, and the ability to interact and work effectively with all levels of personnel and influence key stakeholders in order to get things done and set proper expectations
  • Be able to take ownership and assignments of projects from beginning to end and capable of self-checking work produced for completeness and accuracy

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with financial control systems or cost accounting structures
  • Experience working with Coupa or a similar BSM system
  • Knowledge of how to audit and analyze invoice accuracy for timely approval
  • Experience working with individuals with an engineering background
