Overview and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Manager, Strategic Finance who will contribute towards optimizing the growth and performance of Pluto TV’s finance organization! This will be done by supporting executive decision-making, long-range planning, and organizational alignment of the free-streaming product of Paramount. This person will own KPI organization across the company and perform variance analysis on KPI trends to build impactful decision-making analysis for company leadership. The ideal candidate is proactive, driven and resourceful, with astounding quantitative, communication, and project management skills. This role offers a phenomenal opportunity to learn and grow within a high energy, high growth organization. This is a meaningful role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:


  • Maintain a strong understanding of operating performance (e.g. KPIs, users), major deals and transactions, issues and challenges facing the businesses, and current trends in the streaming business
  • Conduct research and analysis into issues and questions raised by leadership to inform decision-making
  • Apply business analytics and insights to support the decision-making processes
  • Build and use company reporting to develop practical insights on business performance, delivering findings and recommendations to company leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help optimize business performance, including identification of trends, gaps, insights and areas of opportunity within the business.
  • Diagnose and proactively identify gaps and opportunity areas from forecasted KPI metrics and be able to efficiently and accurately resolve them
  • Monitor KPIs and business drivers, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of change to goals and forecast
  • Design and maintain executive reports and dashboards to track key performance measurements Qualities / Experience

 Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years overall work experience with at least 3 years in business analytics related to operational performance measurements/KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - handle and synthesize large datasets to deliver critical insights in an easy-to-digest format for management and external partners.
  • Fantastic analytical skills with advanced business model development and financial forecasting abilities.

 Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in financial systems (ERP/EMP) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx) with a willingness (and quick ability) to learn new software. Basic querying proficiency preferred.
  • Global finance experience with knowledge of GAAP/IFRS (CPA/CMA a plus).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office / Google suite skills, particularly Sheets/Excel and Slides/Powerpoint.
  • Must be highly collaborative, positive and team-oriented!
