We are looking for a highly-skilled Director of Game Analytics to lead our growing team of analytic professionals, working to build best-in-class analytic products for games.  The Director, Game Analytics role at Mythical Games presents an opportunity for a leader in game analytics to take their career to the next level by joining the most exciting company at the intersection of Gaming, E-commerce, and Blockchain.  In this role, you will work with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to build an analytic foundation and drive game / marketplace success.

This role will report to our VP, Analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a growing team of game analytic engineers and data scientists enabling data-informed decisions for Mythical and partner games
• Responsible for the redesign of our existing analytics system into a componentized framework which can be leveraged cohesively or à la carte
• Be the central analytics contact for Mythical and partner games during onboarding, implementation and operations

• Work with stakeholders to design and run experiments to inform product direction
• Establish a process for defining and leveraging best practices across Mythical’s portfolio of titles
• Work closely with the platform and marketplace teams to ensure game economy success

Requirements:

• Led teams of game analytics professionals to identify actionable insights which drove game decisions / improvements
• Have a technical understanding of analytic technologies including data pipelines, warehouse modeling, and BI dashboarding
• Developed analytic professionals and facilitated career progression
• An experiment-based mindset showcased by a history of leveraging A/B testing
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
• 5+ years of professional experience in analytics, data warehouses and data pipelines
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and a programming language (eg Python, Java)
• 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Looker or Tableau

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills: experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, and executives

Pluses:

• Familiarity with the GCP suite including BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud Functions
• Interest in blockchain solutions
• Past work experience in both larger companies and startups
