About the Role

GoodRx is looking for a Data Scientist to join our data team. This individual will have a deep understanding of statistical modeling, a solid mathematical foundation, and strong communication skills. This role will bring rigor to advanced projects across product and marketing in areas such as customer retention and engagement, recommendation systems, and pricing.

Responsibilities:

• Build predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques such as linear/logistic regression, clustering, random forests, and probabilistic graphical models (PGMs)
• Collaborate with product and marketing to translate business needs into suitable models that improve our interactions with our customer base
• Act as a mentor to analysts and advisor to business units looking to ensure rigorous testing and build complex analyses
• Derive insights from data to improve our understanding of the user journey and the effectiveness of product and marketing tactics
• Partner with the rest of the data team to improve data consistency, cleanliness, and ease of use
• Partner with engineering to put models in production

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of work experience in data analysis
• Experience using statistical analysis and predictive modeling to improve business outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree a plus
• Strong knowledge with databases such as RedShift, PostgreSQL, or Hadoop/Spark
• Experience with statistical tools and languages such as Python and Jupyter notebooks
• Prior software engineering experience a plus
• Experience in eCommerce or healthcare a plus
