FabFitFun is seeking a Data Scientist to help support business stakeholders, recognize and capitalize on opportunities in our rich datasets, and help develop long-term processes and pipelines. In this role, the Data Scientist will use machine learning algorithms to help solve real business problems as well as perform the necessary data mining/cleaning, relevant statistical analyses, and tuning/implementation of appropriate models and algorithms. Our ideal candidate will be up to date with modern techniques and algorithms and possess knowledge and/or experience of subscription business models. 

What you’ll do:

• Assist in carrying out analyses for various business teams
• Develop clear visualizations to convey complex ideas
• Perform deep and continuous exploration of high-volume data
• Contribute to and manage standards of documentation on model development and data dictionary
• Analyze data from multiple databases (Stripe, Recurly, etc) to drive optimization and improvement of product recommendation, customer segmentation, marketing attribution etc.
• Develop, tune, and deliver various models and algorithms
• Utilize Jupyter Notebook to create, test, and display data cleaning, data science models and testing
• Own analytics projects from start to delivery (business requirements ,data collection, model development and operationalizing models )
• Visualize and present data for stakeholders using different reporting platforms ( e.g: D3, ggplot, mpl,seaborn, Looker etc.)

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering or Related Field
• 1+ years of relevant work experience in Data Science, machine learning, statistics 
• Self-starter attitude and ability to take on projects with little direction
• Proven ability to tackle business problems with data science solutions
• Strong background in Statistics and statistical modeling
• Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms (SVM,KNN, Decision Trees, Random Forests, regression, etc.)
• Excellent programming skills (Python, Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, SQL)
• Experience with consumer/consumer-facing data
• Experience with 1 or 2 of the following is highly preferred:
• Recommender systems
• Time-series analysis and ARIMA models
• Financial transactional data
• Experience with deploying models with real time training
