Data Scientist - Healthcare
Position Overview
Beyond Limits is seeking an experienced healthcare data scientist. In this role, you will use machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to formulate solutions for challenging problems in the healthcare sector.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Utilize machine learning and statistical models
- Develop novel algorithms to be used by the data science team
- Implement in-house AI technology
- Tune and optimize existing and novel algorithms
- Build visualizations to convey results to the internal team as well as external clients
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ML/AI techniques
- Work in a highly collaborative environment to deliver ML/AI solutions for some of the most challenging healthcare problems
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience solving data science problems in a healthcare domain
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms (e.g. regression, classification, clustering)
- Programming experience in Python, R, and/or Matlab
- Experience with one or more of the following data types:
- Genomic data
- Electronic medical records
- Physiological data (e.g. ECG, PulseOx)
- Imaging data (e.g. CT, MRI)
Preferred Requirements
- Masters or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, neuroscience, physics)
- Proven ability to deliver ML/AI solutions in an industry setting
- Research experience with high impact publications
