Compensation Analyst II

The mission of People Operations is to provide strategies and organizational solutions that enable our workforce to deliver unparalleled value to our customers and mission. As part of the Compensation team within the People Operations Directorate, you will be accountable for managing a strong working relationship with our clients and Strategic People Partners to ensure the development and administration of effective compensation programs in accordance with the organization’s total rewards strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You will be responsible for the review, evaluation, and external market benchmarking for Aerospace jobs in select client groups. Work includes analyzing job descriptions, evaluating, and leveling jobs, FLSA recommendations, market pricing as well as developing hiring ranges and pay recommendations
- You will be an integral part of the administration of compensation practices within Workday including one-time payments, annual planning, off-cycle planning, external market studies and all related compensation activities as well as the integration with other People Operations processes such as recruiting and performance management.
- You will support the compensation group with analytics and dashboards for efficient analysis of jobs, external market data as well as internal compensation program management
- Oversee our Total Rewards Portals including working with external vendor, managing periodic updates and the ongoing maintenance of the Total Rewards Portals.
- You will contribute to Total Rewards by supporting the compensation process in Workday and our Total Rewards Portals.
- Maintain and run reports on compensation-related data from Workday. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of data.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of relevant compensation, compensation/HR systems and or HR work experience
- Experience with compensation principles, practices, systems, and methodologies
- Advanced Excel skills and analytical skills
- This position may require ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- HR certification (CCP, CEBS, PHR, SPHR)
- Familiarity with or have experience with competitive pay practices in high tech firms, the space industry and/or FFRDC pay structure is helpful.
- Experience in Workday and Market pay systems is preferred.
- Strong operational skills: able to handle multiple projects and priorities; able to make decisions in a timely manner, project management skills.
- Possess strong business acumen; current knowledge of HR trends, practices, technology; ability to connect tactics to broader strategies.
