Summary

Sports teams sell hundreds of millions of dollars each in sponsorships every year, with brands often investing tens of millions or more across the globe. In a world that is now driven by analytics, there is more scrutiny than ever on how every dollar is spent and what the return on investment looks like.

GumGum Sports is an AI-Powered Sponsorship Measurement Platform that analyses the earned media value that brands generate from their sponsorships across broadcast TV, social media and streaming platforms. Leveraging computer vision technology, we provide the most comprehensive, automated, and accurate measurement software to value sponsorships. Sports leagues and teams can provide a 360º view of how their sponsors get value across every platform and channel, and brand sponsors can measure what properties and assets are generating their highest return on investment.

GumGum Sports is looking for a Business Insights Partner to join our team in either Santa Monica or New York City to support our rapidly expanding global sports technology business. As a Business Insights Partner, you will leverage GumGum’s vast proprietary data and third-party data to develop insights and narratives that inform the recommendations we put forth to our clients. You will project manage GumGum’s client reporting and valuation deliverables end-to-end, working closely with our data operations team. In this role, you will manage and analyze client data and provide key insights throughout the valuation period. You will also surface relevant industry knowledge, benchmarking and best practices to our clients. You won’t work alone. You’ll work alongside smart, dynamic account managers, and have the support of client operations specialists and data coordinators.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of insights, trends, benchmarks and best practices across global sports properties that will drive value to our clients and prospects
Leverage both quantitative disciplines, business intelligence tools, social media trends and creativity to translate data into actionable insights
Project manage the data operations team to define and automate routine analysis and reporting to track and manage performance
Partner with account management teams to respond to client requests for analysis and insights, attend client meetings and data and reporting delivery
Lead the development and delivery of customer client reports

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and excellent academic record
Prior experience in management consulting, FP&A, data science, business analytics, sports agency analytics or similar role
Comfortable taking raw data, gathering insights, and presenting to internal and external stakeholders, advanced powerpoint development and presentation skills is a must
Team-first orientation with strong ability to collaborate across internal, external and client teams
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Experience in project management and prioritization in a fast-paced organization
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and a self-starter that can independently manage the workload of his or her own clients
Experience with Looker, Tableau and other business intelligence software platforms
Passion for sports and past experience working in the sports industry is a plus
