The Videoamp Central Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment on company goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic initiatives forward. We partner across the organization on closing the gap between strategy and execution. We are seeking a highly strategic, quantitative, process and detail-oriented BI Analyst to join our team. The primary focus of this position will be the operations and planning related to company KPIs and partner closely with key leadership across the organization to proactively monitor KPI trends and offer actionable insights. In addition, the ideal candidate will need to have a strong continuous improvement capability in order to own and improve reporting and processes going forward.
As the BI Analyst, you are passionate about data, analytics, and business strategy. You will help the company become even more data-driven by teaching others about analytics, improve the use of our data, and be an integral part of providing high value analyses that inform significant company decisions. You will have strong quantitative and qualitative skills to effectively transform data into visualized dashboards of actionable insights that tell a story helping the leadership team answer complex business questions. You will be comfortable working with a diverse group of decision makers across the Revenue, Client Success, Finance, Marketing, and Partnerships teams to ensure insights inform broader strategic initiatives. You will be collaborating with Data Engineering and Integrations team on data acquisition and building scalable solutions for the business.
Responsibilities:
- Create and administer company-wide Tableau dashboard that provides visibility into KPIs, business performance, and business drivers/trends
- Instrument and maintain new and existing business KPIs data integrity and quality, metrics definitions, and reporting
- Leverage expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind the numbers and unlock both insights and recommendations to leadership
- Transform data insights into action for cross functional success by identifying opportunities for company teams to work effectively and efficiently, scale operations, and drive maximum value for our business, customers, and partners
- Utilize data and metrics to understand underlying trends and identify course corrections
- Implement processes and standards that inspire trust with data and provide consistent metrics across the organization
- Support weekly business review process and report on company-wide performance
- Assist key leadership on ad hoc reporting and analysis around key metrics
- Serve as a subject matter expert for acquiring data from source systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years in management consulting, private equity, or strategy and operations a tech company with MBA/Master’s degree preferred
- Experience building intuitive and actionable dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions using reporting tools, e.g. Tableau
- Effective communication skills with the ability to distill complex quantitative data and thoughts into simple, actionable recommendations, especially to executives
- Proven track record of collaborating with business leaders to understand the needs of the field and roll out solutions and processes to increase productivity and efficiency
- Superior data handling and quantitative modeling skills, including expertise with Excel and the ability to coach others is needed
- Demonstrated ability writing SQL queries
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and G Suite applications
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy, resourcefulness, and ability to follow-through
- Tight-knit collaboration skills and passion for helping teams succeed
- Ability to thrive in a changing environment and to juggle and prioritize multiple initiatives
