BI Architect
BlackLine is currently seeking an experienced BI (Business Intelligence) Architect. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing architectures and design for business intelligence solutions, as well as providing technical leadership within the Engineering and IT teams. Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple stakeholders and users to define BI requirements.
- Architect business intelligence backend - enterprise data warehouse, and data marts.
- Design advanced conceptual, logical, and physical data organizations, models, and repository.
- Develop architecture for data processing, reporting, dashboards and visualization.
- Work with Engineering and IT teams to aggregate data from multiple data sources.
- Participate in developing machine learning projects.
- Play a key role in the enterprise data governance.
- Manage architectural data- and BI-related standards, best practices, and guidelines.
- Provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership to Engineering and IT teams.
- Coach and mentor engineers.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to simplify and accelerate innovation.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; MS preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies.
- Knowledge of BI and data-related architectural styles and design patterns.
- 15+ years of technical leadership and architecture experience in software development with a variety of languages, databases, data processing and reporting tools.
- 6-8+ years' experience designing and delivering large scale BI systems.
- Public cloud technologies experience (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of data security.
- Familiarity with major ERP and IT systems like Salesforce, Workday, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics.
