Associate Data Analyst

About the Role
GoodRx is looking for an Associate Data Analyst join our Data team. This individual will have a strong quantitative bent plus strong communication skills. This role partners with our internal product and marketing teams to help ensure the quality of our data, extract meaningful insights and inform business decisions that have a real impact on the lives of our users. You will play an integral part in bringing analytical rigor to decision-making for product initiatives and our marketing programs, and help build out our analytics ecosystem from data warehousing to data exploration and visualization tools.
Responsibilities:
- Build reports and dashboards to help business users easily access data insights
- Respond to requests for ad hoc analysis and investigate any data inconsistencies
- Partner with marketing, engineering and product to improve data consistency, breadth, cleanliness, and ease of use
- Utilize quantitative techniques to test hypotheses and forecast performance
- Bring new data sources or one-time files into the data warehouse
- Write advanced SQL queries in Redshift
- Help validate and improve the quality of data in the data warehouse; define and execute checks for quality control
- Work with the data team on larger analytics projects from start to finish
- Build out data documentation
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 1 year of professional experience working extensively with databases such as RedShift, PostgreSQL, and/or MySQL
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a quantitative or related field); advanced degree a plus
- Outstanding academic track record
- Proficient with Excel
- Experience or coursework in statistical analysis and modeling techniques such as regression
- Brings a structured, rigorous approach to solving analytic problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with marketing data for online and/or direct mail campaigns and familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Adwords is a plus
- Experience with statistical tools and languages such as R or Python is a plus
- Familiarity with with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker is a plus
