Database Operations Engineer / DBA (Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Materialize)Position Overview

We are seeking a Database Operations Engineer / DBA with hands-on experience in administering relational and NoSQL databases including Postgres, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Redis, MongoDB, and Materialize. This role is responsible for daily operations, monitoring, automation, and performance optimization of enterprise data services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain multiple database platforms (Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Materialize).
  • Monitor health, performance, and availability of production and non-production databases.
  • Perform upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot database errors, slow queries, deadlocks, and replication issues.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and schema design.
  • Automate administrative tasks with scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible).
  • Build dashboards and alerts in monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Participate in on-call support for critical database issues.
Required Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience as a DBA supporting multiple RDBMS and NoSQL platforms.
  • Hands-on skills in Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and Materialize
  •  Experience with database backup, restore, clustering, and replication.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL tuning and indexing.
  • Scripting and automation experience.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift DB operators is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in at least one database technology (Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL).
  • Prior experience with high-throughput, low-latency database environments.
  • Exposure to real-time streaming solutions integrated with Materialize.

The base salary range for this role is $87,600 to $131,300.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
