Senior Engineer II  - Application Team

To do so, Rockerbox offers a unique suite of product lines that centralize data and offer diversified measurement methodologies. The foundation of Rockerbox's solution is data centralization. Atop this foundation, the platform enables marketers to choose from a range of measurement methodologies, giving customers the flexibility to choose the most appropriate approach for their specific needs and questions.

The Application Team is responsible for delivering out of the box analyses within the Rockerbox platform in partnership with our data engineering teams. The team covers two main components: configuration and insights. This role is designed to play a pivotal role in delivering the platform’s insights capabilities, by owning projects that result in customer-facing dashboards and analytics interfaces. Specifically, this role will deliver work related to building and optimizing the semantic layer. Our ideal candidate has a full-stack engineering background with a track record of independently delivering projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product managers to define product requirements, deliver features, and ensure smooth integration of backend services with user interfaces.

  • Design and develop scalable solutions that enhance application functionality, data efficiency, and overall system performance.

  • Architect data endpoints using a semantic layer to effectively transform source data into intuitive, optimized structures suitable for UI consumption.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering. Demonstrated success in building, owning, and maintaining production systems that prioritize reliability, scalability, and performance.

  • Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript with experience building and delivering analysis or dashboarding products.

  • Exposure to React in a professional or educational capacity.

  • Experience with orchestration, containerization, and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.

  • Expertise in SQL for data querying, analysis, and database interactions.

  • Effective communicator, capable of clearly conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
