About the Role

We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data organization and drive data-driven decision making across the business. In this role, you'll combine sales analytics, customer insights, and business intelligence to help SewerAI scale effectively.

You'll work closely with sales leadership, revenue operations, and cross-functional teams to build forecasting models, analyze customer behavior, and optimize our go-to-market strategy—all powered by SewerAI's modern data infrastructure.

What You'll Work On
  • Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Analytics — Build and maintain predictive models for revenue forecasting, pipeline health, and deal velocity

  • Customer Segmentation & Churn Prediction — Develop models to identify high-value customer segments and predict at-risk accounts

  • Pricing Optimization & Market Analysis — Analyze pricing effectiveness, competitive positioning, and market opportunities

  • Dashboards & Reporting — Create interactive dashboards and reports in Hex to democratize data access across the sales org

  • Data Pipeline Development — Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure clean, reliable data for analysis

Required Technical Skills
  • Python — pandas, scikit-learn, statistical analysis, data manipulation

  • SQL — Complex queries, window functions, CTEs, query optimization

  • OLAP Database Experience — Familiarity with analytical databases

  • dbt — Data transformations and modeling

  • Data Visualization — Building clear, actionable visualizations for stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Hex (our primary analysis and reporting tool)

  • ClickHouse experience

  • ML/predictive modeling experience (time series, classification, regression)

  • Cloud platforms (AWS)

  • Domain knowledge in sales/SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, LTV, CAC)

  • Experience with CRM data (Salesforce, HubSpot)

  • 4-6 years of data science or analytics experience

  • Strong communication skills — you can translate technical findings into business recommendations

  • Business acumen and strategic thinking — you understand how data drives revenue

  • Self-starter mentality — comfortable operating independently and prioritizing your own work

  • Collaborative approach — you enjoy working with stakeholders across the organization

Compensation: $150,000-$180,000
