Who you are:
As a Data Scientist II with Frost, you will be responsible for utilizing quantitative and qualitative collection and analysis tools to provide data-driven insights that help the business achieve its strategic goals and priorities. You will use your analytical skills, innovative personality and desire to build relationships to collaborate with multiple lines of businesses. More than that, this role is about ensuring efficient and effective teamwork and doing it with integrity, caring and excellence in mind.
What you’ll do:
- Collect and analyze large and complex data sets to identify patterns and trends
- Experience hands-on data extraction and data wrangling from internal and external systems
- Manipulate and clean results to build predictive and prescriptive models and present the findings to business partners and leaders
- Develop and apply statistical models to predict trends and outcomes
- Design and implement machine learning algorithms to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data-driven solutions to business problems
- Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
- Continuously monitor data and update models as needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies in data science
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field and 4+ years of relevant work experience; or corresponding Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, Spark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or other analytical/model-building programming languages
- Proficient in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with cloud tools and LLMs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience in building accelerated AI/ML utilities, modern AI/ML techniques (GAN’s, Generative AI, etc.)
- Knowledge of Cloud native tools and ops for Ai/ML
- Background in financial business like banking, insurance or mortgage
- Passion for cross-functional collaboration and team leadership.
