About the RoleAs a Data Scientist at Vast.ai, you will turn data into clear, actionable insights that drive key business and product decisions. You will work closely with teams across the company to define metrics, build data pipelines, design experiments, and deliver compelling analytics to inform strategy. Your work will help guide product development, operational improvements, and customer experience optimization.

Ideal Experience- Programming & Data Tools: Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) for data analysis and automation
- Data Analysis: Expertise in exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, feature creation, and summarization
- Statistical Methods: Strong understanding of hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and experimental design
- Data Engineering: Familiarity with ETL/ELT workflows, cloud data warehouses, and large-scale data processing
- Visualization & Storytelling: Ability to create dashboards and visualizations in QuickSight to communicate insights effectively
- Collaboration: Experience partnering with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define KPIs and drive decisions
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for reporting and analytics
- Extract, clean, and analyze data using advanced SQL in PostgreSQL
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
- Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate product and operational changes
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for internal teams in QuickSight
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, actionable formats
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of data in all workflows

$120,000 – $140,000 + equity + benefits
