As a member of the Commercial Reporting and Analytics team, our Data Reporting Analysts acts as a data and analytics consultant for business areas, collecting and analyzing operational and financial data to identify key trends. They present these findings and support business leaders with forecasting to enable evidence-based decision making– all in service of making our members’ health journeys easier.

Qualifications:
- Data Reporting Analyst would have a bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, computer science or related field and 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Data Reporting Analyst Senior would have a bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, computer science or related field and 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to perform difficult analytical tasks with minimal supervision.

- Solid to advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of health plan operations, data sources, and data structures within the business area.
- Knowledge of data mining tools and methods (SAS, OLAP) including server reporting services (SPSS, Minitab, Tableau).
- Knowledge of analytic programming tools and methods (SAS, SQL, OLAP, Business Objects, Crystal).
- Proven ability to design and develop reporting tools and dashboards.
- Business sense in areas such as finance, accounting, economics, risk management, public health economics, social service research, or epidemiology.
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize assignments across multiple projects; demonstrated project management success; able to work with minimal direction and remain flexible coordinating complex activities subject to rapid or extensive change.
- Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings (highly desired).

Data Reporting Analyst
- Provides analytical support to sales and broker performance by mining data, conducting analysis, and interpreting results related to business needs; reviews data related to health plan operations to assist with developing cost containment strategies.
- Develops methodologies and approaches to new tasks and projects through the design and development of analytical models and reports.
- Proactively identifies issues, problems, or needed changes, recommends resolution, and participates in quality improvement efforts.
- Develops knowledge of health plan operations, data sources and structures, and cost containment strategies.
- Identifies needed reporting, assembles or directs the assembly of reports, and distributes such information; performs acceptance testing of new reports, programs, and models.
- Documents business requirements and methods used to generate work output.
- Drives analytic innovation and best practices within Cambia; actively identifies and eliminates inefficient or ineffective use of resources and recommends process improvements.
- Serves as a resource on analytic programming tools and methods; may supervise the gathering and analysis of information and assist in training other team members.
Data Reporting Analyst Senior
- Provides analytical support with a focus on sales and broker performance
- Architects and oversees the development of sophisticated analytical models and enterprise-level reporting solutions, developing methodologies and approaches for new tasks and projects.
- Develops and implements advanced analytical methodologies that become team standards, driving analytic innovation and best practices within Cambia.
- Establishes and maintains data governance standards and best practices within the analytics team.
- Develops knowledge of health plan operations, data sources and structures, and cost containment strategies.
- Proactively identifies issues, problems, or needed changes, recommends resolutions, and participates in quality improvement efforts.
- Identifies needed reporting, assembles or directs the assembly of reports, and distributes such information.
- Designs, develops, and directs the performance of acceptance testing of new reports, programs, and models.
- Documents business requirements and the methods used to generate work output.
- Actively identifies and eliminates inefficient or ineffective use of resources and provides recommendations on process improvements.
- Oversees and directs analysts on a project basis and assists in the training of staff related to these projects.
- Leads meetings with internal and external constituents.
Pay ranges vary based on the candidate's work location. The expected hiring range depends on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.

National pay structure — applies to the Boise, Portland, Salem, Seattle/Renton/Tacoma, Burlington, Vancouver, Lewiston, and Salt Lake City metro areas: The expected offer range is $71,000 - $124,500 and the full salary range is $66,000 - $108,000 and the bonus target is 8%.
Regional pay structure — applies to North Dakota and to Arkansas, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Utah locations outside the metro areas listed above: The expected offer range is $85,000 - $114,000 and the full salary range is $59,000 - $98,000 and the bonus target is 8%.
Data Reporting Analyst Senior:
National pay structure — applies to the Boise, Portland, Salem, Seattle/Renton/Tacoma, Burlington, Vancouver, Lewiston, and Salt Lake City metro areas: The expected offer range is $98,000 - $133,000 and the full salary range is $88,000 - $143,000 and the bonus target is 10%.
Regional pay structure — applies to North Dakota and to Arkansas, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Utah locations outside the metro areas listed above: The expected offer range is $85,000 - $114,000 and the full salary range is $79,000 - $129,000 and the bonus target is 10%.
