As a Data Quality Analyst at Gurobi Optimization, you will be an integral part of our Data Team, which operates within the Digital Operations and Technology Department. Our Data Team has three main responsibilities:
1. Identifying data integrity issues.
2. Implementing solutions to improve data quality.
3. Presenting data in a meaningful way to provide insights and influence business decisions.
As the Data Quality Analyst, your primary focus will be to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data throughout our organization. This will involve working across all business systems to organize information, ensure easy accessibility, and perform routine data maintenance. To succeed in this role, you should be skilled at enhancing and refining existing data processes at Gurobi, systematically improving and thoroughly documenting them to ensure optimal performance
What will you be doing?
- Take ownership of designing and implementing data quality processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all data quality-related matters.
- Provide technical insights to the data team to address gaps in data-related processes.
- Collaborate with the data team, subject matter experts, and executive management to fulfill the company's data requirements effectively.
- Execute Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes as required for company projects.
- Identify and implement best practice data management processes to ensure a single, reliable source of truth for data.
- Work across departments to establish standardized data collection, maintenance, and analysis procedures.
What experience and qualifications should you have?
- At least 2 years of experience working with corporate data management systems in high-compliance contexts.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
What skills and abilities should you have?
- Proficiency in testing data environments and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or related coding languages for data manipulation.
- Experience in data migration across platforms.
- Ability to build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) models and processes.
- Familiarity with business intelligence systems such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Fluency in macOS and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus

- Proficiency in running and reporting analytics.
- Understanding of the latest business intelligence practices.
- Ability to create and maintain dashboards.
- Leadership capabilities in data-intensive software development projects.
- Strong analytical skills, efficiently collecting and interpreting data.
- Proactive approach in seeking more efficient ways to complete tasks and improve processes.
- Familiarity with overall database structure and best practices.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with international teams.
- Productivity and satisfaction in operating from a home office in a remote work environment.
- Flexibility to travel as required by the company's travel policy.
- Capability to participate in meetings across global time zones within reasonable limits.
- Motivated ambition to achieve assigned Objective Key Results (OKRs).
- Commitment to upholding company policies and procedures.
- Willingness to renew passport and obtain any required international travel documents when necessary.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop action plans from cross-departmental discussions.
