Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and programs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business strategy.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies throughout project and data lifecycles.
- Develop and oversee processes for data risk management, including protection, retention, storage, use, and quality.
- Build and maintain relationships with data providers, consumers, and leaders across Business, Technology, Risk, and Control functions.
- Collaborate with technology teams, business stakeholders, and various programs to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure compliance with firm-wide standards.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of the firmwide Data Risk Management Standard and review policies for CDAO alignment.
- Manage forums and stakeholder meetings, including preparing materials and soliciting agenda items.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, provide regular updates to senior management, and escalate issues as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years in data management, governance, or analytics within financial services/fintech; 2+ years in compliance/risk data roles
- Deep understanding of data management, governance, and lifecycle; advanced product development and analytics knowledge; skilled in large data sets, SQL, ETL; experience with BI tools (Sigma, Tableau, QlikSense, Alteryx, Cognos)
- Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving; quick learner with strong attention to detail; strategic thinker using data for scenario evaluation and strategy development.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Effective communicator with technical and non-technical audiences; excellent verbal/written skills; confident and mature in presenting and expressing viewpoints.
- Solid knowledge of data, AI, and emerging tech; skilled in conflict management and facilitation; strong project management, process, and business analysis abilities.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence applications in a business context.
- Knowledge of query or analytical programming languages.
- Experience in data product management.
- Experience with Data Risk Management, AI/ML, and/or Analytics.
- Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines (a plus).
- Ability to integrate artificial intelligence solutions to enhance project outcomes and support data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation through creative problem-solving and adoption of new technologies.
