Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for entering, updating, and verifying records across our internal databases and client management software. You will play a crucial role in maintaining data integrity, ensuring information is organized, secure, and readily available for our analysis and software teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Input & Maintenance: Accurately enter and update client records, financial metrics, and operational datasets into enterprise software and central databases.
- Verification & Auditing: Cross-reference source documents against database entries to identify discrepancies, correct errors, and clear duplicate records.
- File Management: Organize, digitize, and archive physical and electronic documentation following standard naming conventions and security procedures.
- System Cleanliness: Perform regular data cleansing, standardizing formatting across spreadsheets, platforms, and database fields.
- Reporting Assistance: Generate basic summaries, inventory logs, and status reports for team leaders as requested.
- Data Security: Strict adherence to data privacy protocols, compliance guidelines, and confidential file-handling processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2+ years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related office operations role.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (formulas, basic data formatting, data filtering) and experience with CRM or ERP databases.
- Typing Speed: Fast and accurate typing ability (minimum 50+ WPM) with high 10-key numeric keypad proficiency.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality control, spotting typos, numerical mistakes, and formatting inconsistencies quickly.
- Organization: Strong time-management skills with the capability to manage routine tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience working within tech-enabled advisory, professional services, or corporate SaaS environments.
- Basic understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
