**Hybrid 1-2x per month
The role:
As the manager of the Member Growth Data and Analyst team, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers and analysts to ensure the highest levels of accuracy, reliability and freshness required for our Marketing data platforms and reporting. These data systems power our audience selection, targeting and personalization for member acquisition across a variety of channels ranging from direct mail, web, search and social media platforms.
We deal with data of all shapes and sizes - Credit Bureaus, CDP Event Streams, Ad Impressions, Click Attributions, Communication Dispositions to learn from and optimize our marketing strategies. You and your team will learn and build a lot in the MarTech and AdTech domains. The role requires an engineering leader with excellent cross-functional and communication skills as well as backgrounds in software development, data engineering and operations.
What you’ll do:
- Own the vision of the future Member Growth Data Engineering/Analysis/Reporting within our Marketing and Member Data platforms
- Lead by example, care for the team and establish credibility with the quality of the team’s technical execution
- Lead the development, delivery and operations of our audience and attribution data platforms to expand our One Member Views
- Create systems and processes that lead to easier data discovery for non-technical users
- Grow and mentor a team of engineers, building their talents by exposing them to new challenges and experiences
- Participate in deep technical design discussions within the organization, and across partner teams to ensure that we're building using durable data design patterns
- Leverage AI and workflows to automate repetitive tasks and increase the speed of data activation across our systems
- Track project performance against defined milestones/goals and establishing DDLC processes
- Communicate ongoing project and systems health with key stakeholders and business leadership on a regular basis
What you’ll need:
- 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers in a management or technical lead capacity
- 6+ years of experience with Data Engineering or Customer 360 Systems
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Consistent track record of performance management and career development of individual contributors
- Ability to engage in technical and business discussions from both tactical and strategic viewpoints
- Within Data Engineering, ability to build/design/develop a member graph and 360 degree member views
- Having worked with Python, dbt, Airflow, SQL, Tableau and Snowflake
- Ability to balance delivering on business objectives while also protecting the long term quality of data platforms
- Experience leading cross-organizational efforts with different teams to ensure successful delivery of projects
