The simple task of buying software, services, or tools at work has become hopelessly complicated at even the most innovative companies in the world. Today, enterprises spend $120T+ per year globally (>30 times larger than annual consumer e-commerce spend) and rely on vendors more than ever before to run their businesses.

Our cofounders started Zip in 2020 to address this seemingly intractable problem with a purpose-built procurement platform that provides a simple, consumer-grade user experience. Within the last 4 years, Zip has created a new category and developed the leading solution in this $50B+ TAM space. Today, the world’s leading companies like OpenAI, Snowflake, Anthropic, Coinbase, and Prudential rely on Zip to manage billions of dollars in spend.

We have a world-class team coming from category-defining companies like Airbnb, Meta, Stripe, Salesforce, Apple, and Google. With a $2.2 billion valuation and $370 million in funding from Y Combinator, Tiger Global, BOND, DST Global, and CRV, we’re focused on developing cutting-edge technology, expanding into new global markets, and—above all–driving incredible value for our customers. Join us!

Your Role

We’re looking for a Data Engineering and Analytics Manager to join our Go-to-Market (GTM) Systems & Insights team within Sales Operations. This role will serve as a critical partner to RevOps, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams by designing and building the pipelines, models, and data architecture that power Zip’s most strategic revenue decisions.

You will be the technical backbone of our go-to-market intelligence—working directly with stakeholders across our funnel to ensure data is accurate, actionable, and deeply integrated into decision-making at all levels.

You Will
  • Own GTM data infrastructure: Build and maintain pipelines that ingest, clean, and normalize data from Salesforce, Outreach, Marketo, Gong, and other core GTM systems.

  • Architect for scale: Design robust data models and warehouse schemas (Snowflake) that support fast and flexible analytics across sales performance, pipeline generation, lead routing, account health, and more.

  • Enable RevOps analytics: Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to drive high-accuracy reporting on pipeline coverage, funnel conversion, forecast accuracy, GRR and NRR, rep productivity, and attribution.

  • Drive cross-functional projects: Collaborate with Marketing Ops, Customer Ops, BizOps, and Product to align on single sources of truth and develop shared KPIs across the customer lifecycle.

  • Own our enrichment strategy: Lead the strategy and execution for account and contact enrichment using tools like Clearbit, ZoomInfo, and 6sense to power segmentation, routing, and outbound workflows.

  • Develop our GTM AI tooling strategy: Partner with RevOps and GTM leadership to evaluate, implement, and operationalize AI-driven tools that enhance prospecting, personalization, forecasting, and rep productivity.

  • Support AI-driven workflows: Help lay the data foundation for AI/ML-driven automation, enrichment, and GTM decisioning.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field, ideally within a B2B SaaS or GTM org.

  • Strong experience with SQL, dbt, and Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse).

  • Familiarity with Salesforce schema and GTM tool integrations (e.g. Gong, Outreach, LinkedIn, Marketo).

  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, CS, Finance).

  • Experience building data products that support sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue attribution is a major plus.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous business problems and designing scalable, long-term solutions.

  • Bias toward action and a builder’s mindset.

Nice to Haves
  • Exposure to RevOps or Sales Ops workflows and tooling.

  • Experience operationalizing AI/ML models in GTM contexts.

  • Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.

  • Familiarity with Omni or other BI tools for data visualization.

Why Join Zip
  • We’re a rapidly scaling team solving one of the most critical workflows in modern business.

  • You’ll work directly with GTM and executive leaders on projects with real revenue impact.

  • We invest heavily in data as a strategic lever, not just a reporting function.

  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and equity packages.

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.

Perks & Benefits

At Zip, we’re committed to providing our employees with everything they need to do their best work.

  • 📈 Start-up equity

  • 🦷 Full health, vision & dental coverage

  • 🚠 Team building events

  • 🌴 Flexible PTO

  • 💻 Apple equipment plus home office budget

We're looking to hire Zipsters and that means hiring people who take ownership, communicate openly, have an underdog mindset, and are excited to increase the pace of innovation for every business in the world. We encourage all candidates to apply even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workspace where everyone (regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and more) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
