As a Data Engineer at PERGOLUX, you will build and own the data pipelines that enable fast, reliable operational insights across the business. Your work ensures the company can trust its data, automate confidently, and make high-impact decisions in real time. You will join a lean, senior data team where reliability, clarity, and business value—not technical complexity—define success.

At PERGOLUX, we combine Scandinavian-inspired design with a collaborative, ambitious culture grounded in integrity, innovation, and unity.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain a dependable ingestion and delivery layer that moves data into Snowflake and feeds operational tools with high accuracy and low maintenance overhead.

  • Own the ingestion backbone across systems such as HubSpot, Klaviyo, Google Ads, and Canary7, selecting the tools and approaches that maximize stability and simplicity.

  • Design monitoring, observability, and alerting that eliminate silent failures and give stakeholders full visibility into data health and freshness.

  • Define pragmatic orchestration patterns that ensure scalable, cost-efficient, and resilient pipelines—introducing new tooling only when it clearly reduces failure modes or maintenance costs.

  • Lead simplification initiatives within the first 90 days by improving stability, reducing pipeline breaks, and implementing a transparent, well-instrumented data platform.

What You’ll Bring
  • A pragmatic mindset focused on simplicity, reliability, and business value over unnecessary technical complexity.

  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to evaluate downstream impact when designing pipelines and data flows.

  • Fluency in Python, SQL, and Git, with a deep understanding of production-grade data engineering concepts such as data contracts, schema evolution, idempotency, and failure-state management.

  • Ability to create force-multiplying infrastructure that removes ambiguity, eliminates manual work, and accelerates Analytics Engineering workflows.

  • A disciplined approach to protecting platform stability, reducing technical debt, and ensuring predictable, trustworthy data delivery.

Benefits
  • Competitive Salary & Bonus Structure – Your success is rewarded with strong compensation and performance-based bonuses.

  • Real Ownership – Take meaningful responsibility in your role and directly influence key business outcomes.

  • International Team – Collaborate with passionate colleagues across Europe, gaining exposure to diverse perspectives and ideas.

  • Outdoor Lifestyle Discounts – Enjoy exclusive discounts on PERGOLUX products.

  • Fast-Track Career Opportunities – As we scale quickly, you’ll have significant opportunities to grow into senior leadership roles.

  • Team Culture – Be part of regular team events, retreats, and a culture that celebrates wins—big and small.

  • Bike Leasing Program – Benefit from a sustainable and cost-effective bike leasing option to support commuting and an active lifestyle.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
