Job Summary:
As a Data Engineer, your role is to design, build, and maintain systems that enable the collection, storage, and analysis of large volumes of data.
What You Will Do:
Data Pipeline Development
- Build and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to move data from source systems (like databases, APIs, or logs) to data warehouses or lakes.
Data Modeling & Architecture
- Design scalable data models and storage solutions that support analytics and reporting needs.
Data Integration
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources, ensuring consistency and reliability.
Performance Optimization
- Tune queries and systems for performance, especially when dealing with large datasets.
Data Quality & Governance
- Implement checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with data governance policies.
Collaboration
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
What You Have:
- Experience in Data Engineering.
- Working experience of using Advance SQL queries in any database tools.
- Working experience in any ETL tools (e.g. Snowflake)
- Understanding of distributed systems and data architecture
- Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
- Business Process Design: Knowledge of business process design; ability to develop appropriate techniques to re-examine key processes and focus on optimizing organizational performance.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
