Position Summary
 

This Data Engineer will be involved in all facets of data ingest and export for Wellpartner. They are responsible for ensuring that data received from external parties (such as our Covered Entity and Contract Pharmacy partners and drug wholesalers) are successfully ingested and available for processing in our transactional system, while also ensuring that file extracts for external business partners are produced and delivered on the agreed upon schedule.

Responsibilities include but no limited to:

  • Develop SSIS packages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from CVS Health pharmacy claims systems, 340B third-party administrator (TPA) platforms, Covered entity eligibility files, Drug inventory and pricing systems.
  • Implement data validation rules within SSIS packages to ensure compliance with 340B program requirements (e.g., patient eligibility, drug utilization).
  • Support incremental and full data loads to accommodate daily, weekly, and monthly data warehouse refresh cycles.
  • Integrate data from disparate formats (e.g., CSV, XML, flat files, and relational databases) into a centralized SQL Server data warehouse.
  • Ensure data quality through error checking and data validation using T-SQL and SSIS among other tools.

Required Qualifications

  • High proficiency with SQL/T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Deep understanding of stored procedures, as well as T-SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of data relationships, querying / processing data, and designing well-structured data flows.
  • Experience with C# is nice to have

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • 340B experience
  • Performance tuning processes and T-SQL

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Information Technology or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
