City Year Headquarters’ Data Management and Reporting (DMAR) Team seeks an experienced Data Engineer for help in our Azure and Databricks environment. The Data Engineer will maintain and manage data pipelines and integrations within our Azure and Databricks environment.

Position Overview

City Year Headquarters’ Data Management and Reporting (DMAR) Team seeks an experienced Data Engineer for help in our Azure and Databricks environment. The Data Engineer will maintain and manage data pipelines and integrations within our Azure and Databricks environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Learn our current architecture and data pipelines
  • Maintain, manage and enhance our current data pipelines
  • Maintain and manage our current third-party data integrations
You must have:
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience in the following:
    • Working in an Azure environment on ETL/ELT projects
    • Azure DevOps and CI/CD in general
    • Azure Databricks
    • Azure Data Factories
    • SQL
    • Python
    • Relational databases
    • Working with heterogeneous datasets/formats from many vendors, providers, and platforms
  • Experience with Unity Catalogs
Nice to have:
  • Some experience
    • with Databricks Lakehouse
    • with Microsoft Fabric
    • with archiving and backup solutions in Microsoft Azure
Timeline:

This is a short-term contractor role, with an undetermined ending. The person filling this role would remain on, maintaining and enhancing our data pipelines until a full-time candidate can be found.

Benefits

This role will not be eligible for City Year's benefit packages and is contingent upon completion of all satisfactory background checks, verification of your eligibility to work in the United States, and any other documentation that may be required.

Employment at City Year is at-will. 

City Year does not sponsor work authorization visas.
