The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

What you will do:
- Break-Fix Support: Respond outside standard business hours, including night and weekend shifts, as needed.
- Technical Tasks: Perform equipment installation, interpret technical diagrams, follow methods of procedure (MOPs), and troubleshoot network transport, optical, and IP issues.
- Cabling: Manage installation and maintenance of Ethernet and fiber cables, such as CAT 5/6, single-mode, multi-mode, RJ45, and LC, and work for extended periods on overhead racks or grids.
- Optical Testing: Test and maintain circuits using tools like optical power meters and equipment. Analyze and resolve network issues collaboratively with remote technical teams.
- Site Audits: Validate project specs, ensure precise equipment and cable placements, and document outputs.
- Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install, organize, and maintain data center hardware. Dispose of outdated components and replace faulty hardware.
- Power System Management: Handle AC/DC power systems, redundancy mechanisms, and hot/cold hardware aisle management.
- Documentation: Read and use cut-sheets for physical installations while maintaining efficient cable management.
- Vendor Oversight: Supervise third-party contractors performing on-site activities.
The skills you bring:
- 3-5 years in a technician role within data center operations or similar environments.
- Team-leading experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, and effectively communicate, especially with customers.
- Excellent organizational capabilities to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Clear understanding of industry-specific safety standards.
- Proficiency in English for both written and verbal communication.
- Capacity to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
- Ability to adapt to various environmental conditions.
- Certifications and Training: Must meet mandatory prerequisites like PPE requirements, CPR/First Aid training, and certifications (OSHA 10/30). Annual refresher training of 40 hours will be provided.
