As a Data Architect Sr within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

The Data Architect Sr will support enterprise-wide technology and data initiatives. In this role, you will work across departments to automate data processes, analyze and interpret complex data, and deliver meaningful insights using modern data visualization tools. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data expert with a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide enterprise-level support in data automation, integration, and analytics.
• Querying , analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and Tableau to communicate insights.
• Perform data mapping to ensure consistency and alignment across systems.
• Translate business questions into data analysis and present actionable findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business teams to improve data access and quality.
• Work with data warehousing tools and platforms
Required Skills & Experience:
• Advanced SQL skills – able to write complex queries and optimize data retrieval.
• Strong experience in data analysis, data querying, and interpreting large datasets.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools: Power BI and Tableau.
• Familiarity with data warehousing tools and principles.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica, PowerCenter, and relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, Teradata).
• Proven ability to understand business concepts and translate them into meaningful data outputs.
• Experience in data mapping and documentation of data flows and relationships.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description
  • Designs, develops and optimizes highly complex, specialized data warehouses, with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture, to support business users and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
  • Analyzes business intelligence data and makes recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration for the enterprise.
  • Works with IT and business customers to develop requirements for designing the overall data warehouse architecture.
  • Provides support and technical guidance to ensure architecture and framework are aligned with BI application needs. .
  • Leads and consults on the implementation and integration of data warehouses; ensures data is current and meets organizational quality and integrity standards.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $80,000.00 – $171,925.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
