Launch Your Tech Career with Purpose
At Reli., we're not just processing 10,000+ eCommerce orders a day - we’re reimagining how data and automation scale business in real time. As a Data and Automation Engineering Intern, you won’t be stuck in the background. You’ll be front and center, building real tools, writing real code, and solving real problems that fuel operations for our high-impact partners like Marvel, Domino’s, and Lululemon.
This isn’t your average internship. It’s a 12-week launchpad designed to give you engineering superpowers (well, close enough).
Program Perks
- Hybrid setup with real-life team energy (and snacks!) in Cerritos HQ
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and cross-functional exposure to marketing, product, and operations teams
- Dedicated feedback, learning moments, and space to grow
- Opportunity for future full-time offers
- Build Python-based tools that automate marketing, inventory, and operations workflows
- Engineer smart scripts that interact with Amazon Advertising and Seller APIs
- Analyze structured and unstructured data with tools like Pandas and NumPy
- Collaborate with engineers, marketers, and product folks in cross-functional sprints
- Present your final project to senior leaders and company-wide stakeholders
You’ll work with the team on core summer project, scoped to be meaningful, buildable, and demo-worthy by the end of the program. Alongside this, you’ll:
What You’ll Learn
- How data engineering powers daily decision-making at a scaling tech-driven company
- How to design for both humans and machines, building tools others rely on
- How real-world product cycles work: from ideation to deployment (and iteration!)
- How to communicate technical outcomes across teams
This is a learn-by-doing experience - mentorship included.
You Might Be a Fit If You’re:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Students on a quarter system is ideal)
- Curious, analytical, and driven to understand “why,” not just “how”
- Passionate about making tools that improve people’s workflows
- Comfortable coding in Python (even better if you've played with APIs or data manipulation libraries)
- Bonus points if you’ve ever built your own side project or explored automation just for fun

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
