The Data Analyst will support implementation of SaaS products by collecting and analyzing data from various healthcare systems primarily using Excel, SQL, and scripting. Responsibilities include data validation, customer communication, and troubleshooting data issues.

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to support the implementation of Bluesight SaaS products for our hospital customers. This person collects data, synthesizes and interprets results from a variety of disparate systems. The role will be responsible for finding and interpreting pertinent data points from both internal and external healthcare database source systems and developing analytical solutions using various business intelligence tools.
This role is heavily Excel-focused and involves both customer interaction and scripting. Typical work breakdown:
- Excel: 60–70%
- Customer-facing interactions: 20–30%
- SQL, Python, Ruby, and SFTP tasks: 5–10%
Candidates should be passionate about Excel, comfortable working directly with customers, and capable of leveraging SQL/Python/Ruby when needed to support file ingestion and automation.
Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
- Validate, reconcile, and analyze data input from disparate systems to ensure data integrity using Excel
- Clearly communicate data findings and serve as a point person for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Partner with the implementation project lead and the customer to track progress, provide timely updates, and review data points with customers
- Perform data extraction tasks using multiple databases through SQL
- Develop solutions to support the SFTP automation of ongoing reporting needs
- Acquire and retrieve data as necessary, and assists in troubleshooting of data issues to ease end-user use of the application
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the implementation, product, and engineering team to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance data pipelines.
- Perform reconciliation and quality assurance of client data through the use of analytical and audit procedures
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Eligibility to work in the United States without a work VIsa Sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, experience in the healthcare industry a plus
- Deep expertise and enthusiasm for Microsoft Excel and for using it to solve complex problems and trend data
- Moderate experience with SQL for data extraction and transformation
- Communicates promptly and effectively with both customers and internal teams, which includes both non-technical and technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and meet goals and deadlines
- Self-starter with a demonstrated history of success, multiple examples of taking initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in teams and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working on an Operations team, especially in a customer-facing or implementation-focused role
- Familiarity with installing or implementing SaaS products in a client environment
- Knowledge of hospital data systems (e.g. EHR, ADS, purchasing reports, etc.)
- Experience in Python or Ruby or other scripting language
- Experience working with PHI or other sensitive data
