Data Analyst – Procurement Support

About the role

Passionate about procurement? Your next role will ensure our procurement strategies exceed the expectations of our clients. We’re on the lookout for highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Procurement team on a contract basis through July 2026. Based in our modern Irvine office, you will be managing Purchase Orders, cleansing and analyzing data, and coordinating administrative tasks with vendors.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the Procurement team, you’ll play a vital role in working with data and turning complex datasets into actionable insights, contributing to the financial success of our organization. At all levels, colleagues will rely on your attention to detail to support strategic sourcing initiatives with data-driven insights.  It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with: 

  • Analyzing procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and performance metrics.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel and other tools.
  • Cleansing, validating, and maintaining large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Managing master data related to vendors, materials, and pricing.
  • Creating advanced Excel models, pivot tables, and formulas to support procurement operations.
  • Automating repetitive tasks and streamline reporting processes.
  • Creating, reviewing, and tracking Purchase Orders (POs) in coordination with internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate submissions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Liaising with vendors to gather required documentation and resolve administrative issues.
  • Maintaining vendor records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Assisting with contract management, invoice reconciliation, and procurement documentation.
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and reporting requests from leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, supply chain, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or procurement support role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, macros).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Experience in procurement or supply chain analytics preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
