Job Summary

The Analyst Level 2 will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making for our department and organization. The Product Analyst 2 will focus on analyzing product performance, generating insights from data, and supporting decision-making to optimize product offerings. They are expected to blend data analysis with a strong understanding of product development and performance metrics. In this role, the Product Analyst 2 will work to streamline reporting processes, work with stakeholders to define dashboard requirements, ensure data quality and continuously improve reporting systems for the team. In this role, the individual is expected to independently handle the development of data-driven solutions that influence decision-making across the organization. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of various business aspects, which helps in turning data into useful insights for the business and provider management department.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, insights, and product opportunities that can improve performance.
  • Create and deliver ad hoc reports and dashboards for various stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Ensure all reporting and analysis adheres to best practices for data quality, integrity, and consistency.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance product reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other critical metrics.
  • Reporting Logic & QA:
  • Develop and document reporting logic, ensuring that all calculations, data aggregation, and transformations are clearly defined and validated.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) testing on reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms.
  • Review and validate data and reporting assumptions with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide data-driven insights.
  • Assist the department and teams in developing new product features or modifications by providing insights based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure dashboards and reports align with business goals and provide meaningful insights.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously improve reporting processes, ensuring they are efficient and scalable to meet evolving business needs.
  • Stay current with new features and capabilities in Power BI, and other tools, applying new techniques to improve reporting and dashboard development.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new dashboards and products that improve product insights and drive better decision-making.
  • Power BI Dashboards:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements for new dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards that allow stakeholders to quickly access and understand key product data.
  • Work with the Data analytics team to develop new Qlik dashboards, ensuring they meet user requirements and are scalable for future needs.
  • Write detailed documentation for reporting logic and dashboard functionalities.







Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics).
  • 5 years of experience in a product analytics, data analysis, or similar role, with a focus on reporting and dashboard development.
  • Strong Proficiency in SQL and Python with the ability to extract, transform and analyze large datasets, write reusable functions, troubleshoot errors and optimize queries and scripts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to write complex formulas, apply logical and statistical functions, and create dashboards.
  • Proven experience in developing, documenting, and QA'ing reporting logic for complex datasets and KPIs.
  • Extensive experience with Power BI to build, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports.
  • Experience working in a product-driven or technology-driven company.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Capable of working with stakeholders to evaluate potential risks and translate business requirements into layman’s terms.
  • Knowledge of additional reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Experience in automating reporting processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing user interfaces with a focus on information delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw insights from data and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
