Netflix is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, and intellectually curious associate to join our MarComms (Marketing & Communications) Finance & Strategy team. Our highly analytical approach to managing the company gives us a significant competitive advantage, and the F&S team plays a key role in this area. Senior leadership depends heavily on our F&S groups to accurately model and forecast the business and lead the strategic analysis that informs important business decisions.

This role will report to the Manager, MarComms F&S and sit in our Los Angeles office. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and analysis to support decision-making and inform MarComms investment allocation and strategy

  • Improve our data ecosystem and develop efficient ways for non-technical stakeholders to access and work with large data sets

  • Perform data analysis and develop insightful dashboards, memos, and presentations that summarize the data

  • Drive automation and reporting solutions via collaboration with business partners, Finance Technology, or Data Science & Engineering team

  • Act as the bridge between business teams and technical teams to gather system and data requirements

Qualifications

  • 3- 5 years of experience in a highly analytical environment (e.g. finance, management consulting, business intelligence, corporate analytics, strategy and operations, or other roles requiring a blend of analytical, strategic, and cross-functional work)

  • Hands-on experience or working knowledge of data-oriented programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to synthesize information across a broad ecosystem to diagnose problems and devise solutions

  • Comfortable and effective in ambiguous problem spaces; you connect the dots across business needs and independently drive projects forward

  • Strong communicator; able to collaborate and maintain relationships with partners on both business teams and technical teams

Nice to haves

  • Experience in data reporting and visualization using tools such as Tableau, Plotly, Power BI, R, Python, etc.

  • Experience with complex data types, using Common Table Expressions (CTEs), or leveraging window functions

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000-240,000.
