Description:
We are seeking a motivated Finance & Operations Summer Intern to join our dynamic team and gain comprehensive exposure to critical business processes. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in financial operations, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing meaningfully to our month-end closing processes and operational efficiency. This role provides exposure to enterprise-level financial systems, vendor management processes, and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will gain valuable experience in problem-solving, data analysis, and professional communication while working alongside experienced finance and operations professionals.
Our internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8 AM-5 PM. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the workday. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Vendors’ invoices review and validation for AP month-end processing.
- Freight billing review and validation for month-end processing.
- Random tasks assigned and requested by Operation and Finance Team.
- Partner with Operations and Finance teams on various strategic initiatives and process improvements.
- Assist with data analysis projects that drive business insights and operational efficiency.
- Support special projects including system implementations, process documentation and workflow optimization.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute fresh perspectives on business challenges.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Accounting or Supply Chain, or a related field, with an expected graduation conferral date between 2027-2028.
- Able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the course of a 10 to 12-week summer internship between May through September 2026.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
Benefits
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $20.00 an hour.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed primarily in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels,
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Position requires regular, continuous use of a computer.
- Position requires regular sitting and standing and walking.
- Position requires regular interaction with team members through in-person meetings, phone calls, video conferencing, or email.
- This is a hybrid position. Candidates are expected in the office M, T & Th with optional work from home days Wednesday & Friday.
