CSCI is seeking an experienced Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Functional Analyst with deep functional expertise in a non-IT domain to support the successful execution of IT-related initiatives within a government environment. This role is for professionals with non-IT functional expertise who have strong business or operational knowledge and can bridge the gap between mission needs and technology solutions. The DAI Functional Analyst provides critical subject matter expertise to help interpret functional requirements, guide IT teams, and ensure project outcomes align with organizational objectives. While not a hands-on technical role, the analyst will collaborate closely with IT consultants and development teams, playing a key role in translating functional priorities into effective system capabilities that support mission success.
Responsibilities- Apply domain-specific functional expertise to support IT projects and ensure task requirements are fully understood and met
- Collaborate with IT consultants, analysts, and developers to provide guidance based on specialized functional knowledge
- Interpret non-IT business or operational requirements and translate them for effective implementation in IT systems or solutions
- Provide insight and recommendations throughout the analysis, evaluation, and implementation phases of system development or enhancement
- Ensure alignment between functional area needs and IT deliverables to support successful project outcomes
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and user validation efforts by leveraging domain-specific expertise
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
