The Aerospace & Defense Business Leader will lead strategy, execution, technical marketing, and M&A for Littelfuse’s Aerospace & Defense segment. This Director role owns revenue growth, market positioning, and customer alignment across all applicable product lines while shaping technical messaging and influencing product roadmaps. The Director will serve as the application expert on Aerospace & Defense power architectures, enabling cross-functional success across Sales, Product Management, FAEs, Marketing, and Engineering. This position requires a visionary leader who can interpret customer roadmaps, define application-specific product requirements, and drive strategic initiatives that position Littelfuse as a trusted partner in the Aerospace & Defense market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for Aerospace & Defense segment growth, targeting revenue expansion and market share.
Partner with senior leadership to align segment strategy with corporate objectives.
Influence product roadmaps across multiple business units to meet evolving Aerospace & Defense requirements.
Build deep insight into customer roadmaps and industry trends (e.g., UAV, Naval power systems, LEO Satellites, Missile, Commercial aviation).
Lead strategic customer engagement to ensure Littelfuse solutions are designed-in early and effectively.
Serve as the primary liaison for key Primes/OEMs, Tier 1s and Integrated module customers.
Translate application needs into Aerospace & Defense-specific product requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and product management to prioritize development efforts.
Provide technical guidance on system-level power requirements and trends.
Define and drive technical marketing strategy and messaging for Aerospace & Defense.
Ensure consistency of technical messaging across business units and global locations.
Deliver compelling technical content for print, digital, and online platforms to showcase Littelfuse’s capabilities.
Coordinate global execution across Sales, FAEs, Marketing, and Product Management.
Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track progress against strategic goals.
Represent Littelfuse at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.
Maintain competitive intelligence and lead competitive positioning efforts.
Drive M&A, research, cultivate target assets that fit in-organic growth strategy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience in power electronics, semiconductors, or Aerospace & Defense infrastructure.
Proven track record in technical marketing and strategic leadership.
Strong understanding of system-level power architectures.
Experience with global collaboration and cross-functional leadership.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Salary Range:
$188,900 - $303,380The salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
