Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support a Navy IT program. This role focuses on system security, Assessment & Authorization (A&A), and compliance with DoD cyber standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.

  • Support A&A documentation, POA&Ms, and RMF compliance packages.

  • Conduct security audits, STIG checks, and patch validation.

  • Assist with system hardening, account management, and access control.

  • Provide cybersecurity risk analysis and mitigation strategies.

  • Develop and maintain security SOPs, reports, and training materials.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline OR Level II certification (Security+ or better) .

  • 4+ years of cybersecurity experience including incident response, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation .

  • Must be fully qualified under DoD 8570.01M baseline certification requirements .

  • Desired experience: firewall policy, ports/protocols, VRAM, A&A processes, Navy/DoD cyber compliance frameworks.

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD clearance.
