Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is looking for an experienced HVAC technician. Aerospace HVAC technicians keep the facilities and labs running so that our engineers and scientists can continue to thrive as the government's most trusted space resource.
This full-time, first shift role reports to the Facilities Operations Supervisor in El Segundo, CA.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensures all heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems are maintained and operating properly including systems cleanliness, efficient operations, repairs, installations, overhauling, and emergency services
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance
- Operates and repairs energy management computer controlled systems and electric/pneumatic control systems
- Procures equipment and services in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost
- Assists in construction projects by checking work from blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, verbal and written instructions.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of HVAC experience
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Experience with software programs related to HVAC control
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- 7 or more years of relevant experience and High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current SCI clearance
