Purpose

Provide technical expertise for cyber security. 

The Role

  • Manage on premise and cloud security environments (Primarily Azure) and all cybersecurity related issues and practices. 
  • Manage security for services and applications such as Microsoft 365, DocuSign, & Jira/Confluence including cybersecurity related issues and practices. 
  • Work with your leader and the Operations Team to implement appropriate baselines for endpoints. 
  • Work with your leader and the Infrastructure Team to implement appropriate baselines for servers, network APs/switches/firewalls, and other devices. 
  • Work with your leader to appropriately identify and enforce security policy. 
  • Escalate security incidents, identified gaps, & other items as appropriate in a timely manner. 
  • Track changes and stay up to date for industry accepted security practices and adjust posture through action and recommendations as relevant. 
  • Thoroughly test and validate deployed solutions for functional requirements. Ensure standards are maintained and compliance is kept through industry accepted practices such as audits. 
  • Be a frontline advocate for Information Security Operational Excellence.   
  • Respond to security incidents and triage. 
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams in a manner that represents your team well. 
  • Operate in a manner demonstrating a high level of integrity, ethics, and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
  • Ability to execute industry accepted security practices.  
  • Ability to track and manage projects with minimal supervision. 
  • BA/BS in Technology Field OR equivalent relevant and proven experience combined with certifications. 
  • Ability to favorably complete a U.S. Government Secret Clearance. 
  • Security+, CISSP or other DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification in the Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III category, or ability and willingness to rapidly complete said certifications. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed CISM or CISSP Certification 
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance.  
  • Proven track record of mentoring and managing other information technology personnel. 
  • Specialized Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Security. 
  • Proven track record of maintaining vendor relationships. 
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as CMMC or NIST. 

Work Environment

  • Hybrid, remote as appropriate. 

Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels E04 - E05 as evaluated through our interview process. 

  • Engineer / E04: $116,660 - $160,325
  • Senior / E05: $134,640 - $185,130

Pay Range

$116,600$185,130 USD
